Dear Comrades and Friends,

I am happy to greet you for organizing European events in solidarity with people of Korea.

Your restless work and friendship you are devoted to our Korean friends for many years. You are realizing meaningful meetings in order to mark annual important respectful events attract the attention of the progressive people from many countries all over the world.

On behalf of Bulgaria Korea friendship association it is my honored duty to let you know the main events we are organizing this year: the Month of solidarity and 50th anniversary of establishing of Korean Committee for Solidarity with the World People, 60th anniversary of the beginning the party career of great leader Kim Jong Il at the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea and the 30th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Ill Song.

Each one of the events mentioned above is of high importance and very meaningful. That is why it deserves to be a subject of a separate conference.

We are planning for the celebration a set of reports, researches, many publications and round tables with the members of Bulgaria-Korea friendship association. Also meeting of members of Kim Ill Song Library and discussions in the local newspaper “Slovo pluss”, published in Montana town.

Dear Friends I would like to share with you my personal impression during my visit in Korea. I realized, dear friends do follow their national cause to build independent, sovereign and steady state country.

Korea is a deeply impressive example for modern and dynamic construction not only in the capital but in countryside as well.

And I discovered in my thoughts, the question is not how all that happened in very heavy hostile atmosphere!

There is only one answer concentrated in one word which is unique word - “Chuche”(self-sufficiency)!. This is not a magic word. This is the imperative for Korean people to be so successful in their everyday efforts and life. The word “Chuche” is lying at the bottom of heir prosperity, their readiness to protect their independence and their national sovereignty.

I saw how Koreans are ready in every minute to protect their country, how they respect their great leaders. They trust them. Korean society fully understand how important is to be tightly closed with their unique orders and rules. That is why Koreans are ready to protect their ideal, their home.

A last but not least, Korean people know that no one restriction in the world, no one embargo, no one provocation may break their will to belong to their beloved leaders which made the country unavoidable factor in the region and whole world.

From the name of the members of Library Kim Ill Song, Korean cultural center Vratza, and as a secretary General of Bulgaria-Korea friendship association I would like to wish all participants of conferences – friends and comrades fruitful discussions and wise decisions to tight connections  and solidarity among progressive people from the world with Korean people.

The great leader comrade KIM JONG IL has worked on the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea from Juche 53 (1964) for a long time, as the most intimate comrade of and faithful aide to President KIM IL SUNG, spearheading Korea's history – past, present and future. He was 22 years old at that time, being appointed in April and starting his work on June 19. He had already accompanied President KIM IL SUNG on field guidance and finished studying at KIM IL SUNG University in Pyongyang. Therefore he already hat early experience in political work and a vast amount of education to make good use of in the cause of the people.
